Tawny Ridge Subdivision - Private Developer
Stage 1 of the Tawny Ridge subdivision is currently underway on Worsleys Road, Cashmere. This prestigious development comprises 21 residential sections in Stage 1, with Stages 2 and 3 to follow as the project progresses.
Earthworks for Stage 1 have now been successfully completed, and construction has advanced to the installation of the sewer and stormwater infrastructure. Our team is delivering these essential civil works to support the next phase of this high-quality residential development and to provide the infrastructure required for future home construction.
Early works included the careful relocation of native lizards from the site, ensuring environmental responsibilities were met before construction activities commenced. Environmental management remains a key focus throughout the project, with ongoing monitoring and protection measures in place as works continue across the hillside environment.
Tawny Ridge is a technically challenging development due to its steep terrain and elevated location on the Port Hills. Unlike flat-land subdivisions, hillside projects require specialised construction methods, detailed planning, and experienced operators. Our team has implemented robust erosion and sediment control systems, comprehensive land stabilisation measures, and carefully managed earthworks sequencing to protect both the site and the surrounding environment.
Health and safety is a major priority throughout the project. Working on steep slopes requires strict controls, specialist equipment, and well-planned operating procedures to ensure the safety of our staff, subcontractors, and the public. Our experienced team is accustomed to delivering complex hillside infrastructure projects while maintaining high standards of safety and environmental performance.
As construction progresses through the remaining stages, Tawny Ridge will become one of Christchurch’s standout hillside residential communities.
