Site Engineer / Surveyor

We are looking to employ a Site Engineer/ Surveyor to work with our experienced team building subdivisions, roading and civil works in Christchurch. The role will include GPS setting out and as-builting, quality assurance and working as one of the crew on our sites.
Full-time role with reliable hours, modern equipment, a supportive team, and projects based around Christchurch. GPS knowledge and experience on subdivisions will be an advantage, but training can be provided.

About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Setting out with lasers and GPS, completing as-built surveysCollecting and reporting site data
Ensuring compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) systems
Supporting contract management and preparing payment claims
Coordinating site inductions for staff, subcontractors, and suppliers
Assisting with construction activities when required
What You’ll Bring
A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Surveying is preferred, but not essential
Willingness to pick up a shovel and work with the crew on site to build the projects
Prepared to work long hours including some Saturdays
Some experience, or willingness to learn to operate loaders, rollers and machinery
Physical fitness and readiness to assist with hands-on tasks
Minimum Full Class 1 driver’s licence, WTR will be an advantage
NZ citizenship, residency, or valid work rights
Strong commitment to health and safety
Solid work ethic and reliability
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
